Teaching isn't something only professors do. We teach whenever we share our research with the public, when we present final projects at the end of a class, when we share our work with our friends, and we teach when we talk to someone in Human Resources or the Disability Office about our experience having ADHD and what accommodations we need. Teaching is sharing information and (hopefully) cultivating an environment where everyone can learn, grow, and explore more if they want to. This is the section for anything related to teaching and ADHD, whether you have ADHD or you're teaching someone who might have it.
UDL
Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is great for ADHD learners. This framework recognizes that there is variability in learners and in our brains, and that flexibility is the best way of helping everyone. By involving learners more purposefully in their learning and giving them the ability to choose what works best for them, those of us with ADHD can work with our brains rather than against them. This leads to less time struggling with ADHD and more time actually learning and engaging with the content.
